Volunteering Queensland is also pleased to support local Conference Watch Parties across the state.
Watch Parties provide an informal and accessible way for organisations, volunteer teams, and local networks to come together and experience the Conference livestream as a group. They are designed to encourage connection, shared learning, and discussion within local communities, particularly for those unable to attend the Conference in person in Brisbane or at one of our regional satellite events in Cairns, Gladstone and Roma.
Organisations are invited to express their interest in becoming a Watch Party Host. As a host organisation, you can invite a small group to watch Conference sessions together in a comfortable local setting, operating similarly to a shared online ticket. Hosts will receive complimentary access to the Conference virtual event hub and a small funding contribution to thanks to grant funding from Queensland Gives.
There are 10 grants available.
The Watch Party Grants are open to any organisation across Queensland who want to bring people together to participate in the Conference livestream. If more than 10 expressions of interest are received, priority will be given to groups located in regional, rural or remote Queensland, and volunteer-led/unfunded organisations.
If you’re interested, please submit your expression of interest via the form linked below. You’ll need to outline:
